Moving Back to the Basics – Developing Strength of Mind and Body

at Village Montessori Day Camp Manalapan

Scientific evidence points out that stimulation in the form of movement and sensory experiences during the early developing years is necessary in order to achieve precision in the mature brain. Movement experiences stimulates problem-solving abilities and develop critical thinking skills. At Village Montessori Day Camp, children will enjoy outdoor games, such as, snake relay, four square, tag, hide and seek, red light-green light, scavenger hunt, etc. This takes us back to the days when we needed to be creative to come up with games as kids or dance to the cha cha jive. No more couch potatoes! Let’s give our children’s tablets/iPads a summer break once in a while and enjoy indoor and outdoor adventures with other kids. Kids, don’t be afraid to get yourselves wet and bubbly with different sensorial tubs. Let’s move back to the basics at camp! Ready, set, go!
